Google has become more brand friendly with verification for profiles of celebrities, public figures, and people who have been added to an (undefined) ‘large’ number of Circles. When Twitter first rolled out its suggested user list.
It stirred some controversy as those who made it on the list would gain followers exponentially, leaving those who were excluded feeling the system unfair. Twitter has revamped the list last year allowing users to create their own personalized suggested user lists.
