[How-to] Stop Facebook Friend Requests From Strangers

Facebook is the best social media platform to find and make friends. Anyone on Facebook can send friend requests to anyone else on Facebook if profiles are set to public. This feature may annoy many users specially female users, as they receive many friend requests from unknown persons. Befriending with strangers may harm your privacy. There is a simple method to limit or stop these friend requests.

To limit or stop friend requests on Facebook follow these steps:

  • Log in to your Facebook account and open Privacy Settings from dropdown link after Home button.
  • Here you can see some tips to increase your privacy while you update your status. Below these tips you can find some editable settings. Click ‘Edit Settings’ next to ‘How you connect’ option.
  • Select “Friends of friends” option in “Who can send you friend requests?” setting and click done to save settings.
