Iphone 4.0 OS with Multitasking,folders,iAD,Game center and more
At the apple event today Steve job told the much awaited iPhone OS 4.0 is coming to us this summer but the developer preview of this version is currently live on gizmodo live and many other blogs. This iPhone OS 4.0 will have more than 100 user features in which the 7 main services are very important. In iphone OS 4.0 features like multitasking and exploring system folders will play a great role.
Let us have a look of features introduced:
Multitasking:
The much demanded feature in iPhone multitasking is added and it will not affect the battery life or the performance of iphone. at the iPhone OS 4.0 event Steve Jobs said , “we weren’t first to the party, but we’re gonna be the best.”.
Tim Westergren from Pandora then demoed how Pandora will work in iPhone 4.0 OS, saying, “it’s s not an exaggeration to say that the iPhone has singlehandedly changed the trajectory of Pandora.”
Another popular app, Skype for iPhone, was also demonstrated on stage — showing how the OpenTable app can be accessed while on a live Skype call.
Folders:
Folders will be added to iPhone 4.0 OS and they look very similar to Stacks from Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6. adding folders to iphone was response of not having any file system access to the users.
You can drag and drop apps onto one another to create application folders.
Game Centre:
Apple is adding a social network gaming fetaure to the iPhone OS 4.0 to make it even better gaming zone.Think XBox Live but for your iPhone or iPad.
iAd:
Making a New step in advertising at Apple Jobs says, “users like free apps, developers like to make some money.” iAd is designed to help them do that. However, this won’t be like existing solutions, because according to Jobs, “most [mobile] advertising sucks.”
They’ll also split ad revenue with developers 60/40.
