Sony has announced two new VAIOs today at Computex – the VAIO Pro 11/13 and the VAIO Duo 13.
The VAIO Pro is one of the lightest Ultrabooks from Sony to hit the market and it will be available in both 11-inch and 13-inch models (in “Carbon Black” and “Carbon Silver”) and the weight of VAIO Pro 11 is just 1.92 lbs.
Sony announced its Xperia line up smartphone, Xperia S at the CES 2012. Few days back Sony announces only US LTE version of Xperia Ion high-end smartphone. That was the first smartphone by Sony after Sony bought Ericson shares. Now all the features of Xperia Ion are available in Xperia S smartphone.
Sony Computer Entertainment has announced its new, PlayStation-branded 3D TVs and 3D glasses. The TV will have a 24-inch display and be capable of removing the need for splitscreen gaming, by sending one image to one set of glasses, and a second image to a different set of glasses. Each player will only be able to view the image in 2D.
The TV was first announced at the annual E3 video game trade show earlier this year. The TV comes packed with an HDMI cable, a pair of 3D glasses, and a copy of the game Motorstorm Apocalypse, which has some of the most heralded 3D graphics available on the PS3.Sony believes that gamers have the ability to make 3D mainstream, as they are usually the most willing to jump into the next advance in home entertainment technology.
Sony has announced anyone who pre-orders the TV will also receive a copy of the PS3 game Resistance 3. So that’s nearly $200 worth of goodies packed in with a $500 TV.The Playstation TV also carries another interesting piece of technology – Sony’s proprietary Simulview standard. This allows two players sitting next to one another to see completely different images on the same set.So, if you’re playing a multiplayer game, player 1 will see a different screen than player 2. It’s a pretty cool idea and everyone is curious to see just how well it actually works.
