How To Share Your Wi-Fi Network with Android Users with QR code

android

If you want to share your Wi-Fi network with other Android users without having to give out your WPA passcode, you can do this thing with the help of Quick Response code or QR code.QR(Quick Response) code is a type of matrix bar code (or two-dimensional code) designed to be read by Smartphones. The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. The information encoded may be text, a URL, or other data.

To create your QR code:

1. Click on QR Code Generator site.
2. Select “Wifi network”in the Drop-down
3. Enter your SSID (network name)
4. password and network encryption type (WPA/WPA2)
Once you click the Generate button, you’ll get a QR code image which you can save and print or embed it on a webpage. To Connect to your WiFi Network, your Friends will need to install Barcode Scanner Application on their Android Phone, so that they can Scan the QR Code, that you generated or Created.

If someone uses another QR code scanner he won’t be able to connect to your network. He will just see your SSID and password in plain text.

Check If a Web Site Is Safe Or Not!!!!!

ssl

Whether you’re accessing popular social networking sites or other communication apps such as your WebMail portal and IM clients, the links let you dive into a world of new information. With one click, you may end up enjoying a great story, or on the other hand unfortunately trying to crawl your way out of a potentially harming website.

You may have your anti-virus and Malware removal tools programs installed, but they will not prevent you from clicking any of those potentially-harmful-but-so-interestingly-looking Twitter, FaceBook or email links.

The best recommendation I can offer is to browse smart. That means you ought to always double-check the URL of your social networking site, and e-mail site, banking site before you log in. Most browsers, including Firefox, Chrome, and Internet Explorer, now include a color-change on the left side of the location bar to indicate that the site has been verified as legitimate. It’s always a good idea to type in the URL by hand, and to never follow links from an e-mail.

There are two general indications of a secured web page:

1) Check the web page URL :

Normally, when browsing the web, the URLs (web page addresses) begin with the letters “http”.  However, over a secure connection the address displayed should begin with “https” – note the “s” at the end.

2) Check for the “Lock” icon :

There is a de facto standard among web browsers to display a “lock” icon somewhere in the window of the browser (NOT in the web page display area!)  For example, Microsoft Internet Explorer displays the lock icon in the lower-right of the browser window:

As another example, Mozilla’s FireFox Web Browser displays the lock icon in the lower-left corner:

THE LOCK ICON IS NOT JUST A PICTURE!  Click (or double-click) on it to see details of the site’s security.  This is important to know because some fraudulent web sites are built with a bar at the bottom of the web page to imitate the lock icon of your browser!  Therefore it is necessary to test the functionality built into this lock icon.  Furthermore, it is very important to KNOW YOUR BROWSER! Check your browser’s help file or contact the makers of your browser software if you are unsure how to use this functionality.

There are several services you can use to verify a link.

1.) Google Safe Browsing

2.) hpHosts.

3.) Norton Safe Web

4.) Unmasked Parasites

Google, A leading search engine that we use every day to search content on internet. There is no doubt that this is a damn powerful search engine but Google.com is not only for searching the stuffs. In addition to providing easy access to billions of web pages. Many changes are subtle and thus easily missed. Likewise, many advanced features are well hidden.

Google.com has many amazing features to help you to find exactly what you’re looking for. Some of the most useful features that you can use in your daily life are discussing below. In this article I want to direct your focus to the Advanced Search page, which contains many useful search features not available via the left-hand sidebar. This page can make your search a lot easier and more efficient

These are 3 Great Hidden Things Google Can Do That You Should Know, You can use these features without leaving the Google.com and I am sure majority of you did not aware of all the things listed below that Google can do for you…..

1. Search Images By Region

It’s  new advance search option. Firstly you open google.com and then you switches to images and then open the old Advanced Search window via the link underneath the search button

Here you can filter the results by region…

In the examples below I searched for large images with the keyword  ‘Politics’  in the regions.

If you would also like to search images from a specific source or with specific usage rights, open the old Advanced Search page and find even more options….

2. Search Videos With Subtitles:

Videos search offers many interesting options, for example searching by duration, time uploaded, or source. When you switch to the Advanced Search page, however, you will find several more valuable features, for example searching videos by language or searching only closed captioned videos.

Most results are from YouTube, so this search option ultimately highlights a feature offered by YouTube. When you open the video, you will see that it doesn’t contain any traditional subtitles at all.

3. Search With Google SafeSearch Enabled:

Many users prefer not to have adult content included in their search results (especially if kids use the same computer). Google’s SafeSearch filters provide you with the ability to change your browser setting to prevent adult content from appearing in your search results. Google uses automated methods to identify objectionable content, and constantly works to improve those methods based on user feedback. For sexually explicit content, our filter mainly relies on algorithms that look at many factors, including keywords, links, and images. No filter is 100 percent accurate, but SafeSearch should help you avoid most of this type of material.

To do it manually,Switch to advance search ,expand the > date, usage ,rights, region and more link and then set Safe Search to >on

so that’s it ….

I think this article can help you to use google features more effectively..

A Slick, Fun Way To Teach Yourself How To Program @Codecademy

code

If you don’t know how to program and you have not sufficient amount of money to appoint a teacher or join any coaching center then not to take worry because Codecademy might just be the answer.

It’s a web-based, interactive programming tutorial that holds your hand and walks you through the basics of JavaScript. At this point it’s just getting started — the lessons only go as far as ‘While’ loops — but it clearly has loads of potential for one key reason: it actually feels fun.

As soon as you open Codecademy.com you’ll be giving assignment to complete the first lesson, which involves printing out and finding the length (in letters) of your name. It isn’t until you’ve made it through a few lessons that the site prompts you to create a user account, when it reminds you that if you don’t register, all of your progress will be lost. At which point you’ll probably register.
